Now Accepting Registration Forms for Semester IIof the 2013-2014 School Year


Options Laboratory School (OLS) accepts enrollment of students residing within the City of Chicago (Board of Education District #299), are 16-19 years of age or enrolled in 9th-12th grades, and have at least 5 credits.

All applicants who enroll must demonstrate interest in Fine or Performing Arts. Demonstration of this interest/talent will be required during the interview process through portfolios or examples of student work. Applicants must also have a letter from an administrator at the student’s current school confirming their standing (behavior, attendance, etc.)

Options Laboratory School prohibits discrimination of the basis of disability, race, creed, color, gender, national origin, religion, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation or need for special education services. Students interested in enrolling in Options Laboratory School can apply directly to the school.

The attached application form must be completed in its entirety, in addition to the application form, the following information is collected on each applicant and maintained on file:


  • Proof of age
  • Proof of residence
  • Drop or release forms from their prior school
  • Transcript (when available)

All applications will be reviewed. Upon review, students will be required to interview and demonstrate talent in their selected area of interest.



Options Laboratory School students will be assessed a fee of $150.00 for each academic school year. Additional fees may be charged for books, activities, lab fees, and other materials.



Options Laboratory School (OLS) is accepting applications for the 2012-2013 school year. To be considered for admission, an enrollment application must be submitted by the deadline and the admissions criteria met. Applications are still being accepted on a rolling basis. Completed applications should be submitted to Options Laboratory School in person, or via mail (1060 E. 47th Street; Chicago, IL 60653). Applicants must be between ages 16-19 or enrolled in grades 9-12 and reside in Chicago at the beginning of the school year.
